Mission Work

In the Spring of 2014 I saw a video at my church about an orphanage in Haiti. That Fall I was boarding a plane for my first mission trip. By the end of my week there, I was broken. I was a changed person. And I was fully committed to serving the people in Haiti as much as I could. Over the next four years I visited Haiti 12 times. During my time there, I was able to: 
 

  • Lead multiple adult teams during their week long mission trip.

  • Develop a sponsorship program for an orphanage that consistently brings in more than $50,000 a year. 

  • Raise over $20,000 for outreach through various fundraising events and projects.

  • Assist in developing sustainable work programs for many Haitians.

  • Design and develop a fully functioning website and logo for the orphanage.

Volunteer Work 

Serving hasn't always been a part of my life - honestly it wasn't until I experienced the reality of poverty that I truly felt the conviction of having a servant's heart. My passion for serving has allowed me to experience many different opportunities such as:

  • Facilitating outreach events for homeless and trafficked women.

  • Sitting on the leadership team for a local MOPS program that supported over ​mothers at all stages of parenting. 

  • Sitting on the start up team of a local non-profit. 

  • Developing and leading a week long outreach event.
